Genie is a California based photographer, educator, and social worker whose work explores pilgrimage, memory, grief, home, and belonging. Working in both digital and film photography, she creates portraits, still lifes, travel essays, and documentary projects rooted in everyday acts of noticing.

She is the creator of PPM™ (Pilgrimage Photography Method™), an evolving practice that brings together photography, presence, creativity, and lived experience. Through MAHAL, she continues to explore how image-making can become a companion to healing, remembering, wandering, and living attentively.

Her photographs have been exhibited internationally and published in magazines, CD covers, and collaborative projects. When not making photographs, Genie can often be found browsing thrift stores, collecting vintage cameras, watching classic films, or planning her next journey.
